In 2015, on the day the senators were to elect their Principal Officers, Buhari called a meeting of all the APC Senators loyal to him. The thrust of the meeting was on how to stop Saraki from becoming the Senate president. But something funny happened. While their meeting was going on in Asorock, PDP Senators already in Senate Chamber elected Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu (PDP) as the Senate President and Deputy Senate President respectively.
Today again to forestall Saraki's posible defection to PDP, Buhari summoned all the senators loyal to him at Transcorp Hiltop Hotels to effect saraki's impeachment. To further prevent the reoccurrance of 2015 event buhari detailed his security operatives and the EFCC to lay siege to saraki and Ekweremadu's houses.
While Buhari's senators waited for their number to complete before they would proceed to NASS, Saraki stormed The Senate Chamber, commenced Plenary, read the defection letters of 16 Senators and shut down Senate till after Party Primaries.
They all watched it on television just as they watched his emergence as Senate President.
How Saraki and Ekweremadu manoeuvred the security personnel and the EFCC that laid siege on their houses has remained a mystery to Buhari.
Buhari and Saraki are no match - one is an herdsman the other is a DOCTOR.
Morals: Always plan ahead of your enemies.
